The Zebra Moray Eel‘s favorite habitat corresponds to the rocky or coral reef on coastal shallow waters in depths up to 39 meters. It can reach a maximum length of 59? inches, however, the average size is commonly 19.68? inches. The Zebra Moray Eel is dark banded over white, with a round and short snout. It is nocturnal and actively hunts its prey at night. Unlike most other Moray Eels, it feeds almost exclusively on crustaceans, sea urchins and mollusks.
