The anemone crab, Neopetrolisthes maculatus, is a small porcelain crab that lives in a symbiotic relationship with sea anemones in the Indo-Pacific region. It has a whitish body with reddish-purple spots, a flattened body, and large claws. It is not a true crab but is related to hermit crabs, feeding on plankton and detritus and often fiercely defending its host anemone.
