Silver Dollar(Metynnis argenteus)
Silver dollar fish are popular freshwater aquarium fish known for their distinctive, round, silver bodies. They are peaceful schooling fish, primarily vegetarian, and belong to the Serrasalmidae family, closely related to piranhas and pacus. They are native to South America and are commonly found in rivers with vegetation.
Physical Characteristics:
- Silver dollars have a laterally compressed, round body shape, resembling a silver dollar coin.
