Clown Surgeonfish(Acanthurus -lineatus)
The Clown Surgeonfish, also known as the Lined Surgeonfish or Blue-banded Surgeonfish, is a vibrant marine fish characterized by its striking pattern of horizontal blue and yellow-orange stripes on a deep body. It has a streamlined body, a small mouth, and a deeply lunate (crescent-shaped) tail fin. A key feature is the sharp, retractable spine on each side of the caudal peduncle (tail base), which is used for defense and can inflict deep cuts.
