The Zebra Snail (Zebra Nerite, Neritina natalensis) is a popular, peaceful aquarium snail known for its distinctive black and gold/yellow stripes, excellent algae-eating ability (especially hard green algae), and plant-safe nature, making it ideal for planted tanks. They are low-maintenance, won't overpopulate freshwater tanks (as eggs need brackish water to hatch), and effectively clean glass, decor, and plants, requiring minimal feeding beyond algae.
